The most profitable and unprofitable smartphones for resale are listed

According to SellCell, Android devices depreciate much faster than Apple gadgets.

Apple smartphones have proven to be the best resale value, while Android devices depreciate much faster in the secondary market, with some of them depreciating dramatically in just two months after being released.

This follows from the report  of the SellCell company. After studying the prices of the base models of the flagships of Apple, Samsung and Google, analysts found that two months after purchase, the iPhone 14 loses an average of 31% of the value in the secondary market, representing the best investment.

At the same time, the Samsung Galaxy S23, just two months after the release, depreciated in the secondary market by an average of 43.3%, and the Galaxy S23 Ultra 1 TB in "like new" condition lost 52.7% in price. Similar is the case with the Google Pixel 7 series.

It is noteworthy that last year the statistics for the Galaxy S22 looked even worse: it depreciated three times faster than the regular iPhone 13. At the same time, if we take into account the difference in the loss of value for six months with the original price, then the previous generation of Apple smartphones outperformed the current one by 5.7% .

According to analysts, it is most profitable to sell used iPhones. For example, iPhone 14 (128 GB) can be sold on the secondary market for 29% cheaper than the RRP, iPhone 14 Pro (128 GB) - minus 33.7%, and iPhone 14 Pro Max (128 GB) -13.6%.

Earlier, UNIAN shared the rating of the best Android smartphones in 2023 in the "top for your money" category . In the cheapest category, Redmi Note 11T Pro took first place, and in the most expensive category, Red Magic 8 Pro +.
