Why do you need "airplane mode" in your phone: useful features that few people use

 Although this mode was originally implemented in phones and tablets to activate during flights, it can actually come in handy in everyday life.

Almost all modern phones  and tablets are equipped with a "flight mode", which is primarily intended for flights. When this mode is activated, the mobile device does not receive or make calls, and does not access the Internet.

Not everyone knows, but even if you don’t fly anywhere, airplane mode can still come in handy in everyday life. Additional "chips" of this mode for the smartphone itself will be discussed in today's article.

Battery saver

If you have a low battery and don't have a chance to recharge your phone anytime soon, then the Airplane mode feature can be very useful. It disables all networking capabilities of your phone, which reduces battery consumption and extends battery life.

Fast connection recovery

If you're having trouble connecting to a cellular or Wi-Fi network, it's usually a good idea to restart your device to reconnect. However, it takes time, and you don't always want to wait. In this case, you can use the flight mode: turn it on for a short time and then turn it off. The smartphone will re-find all networks, as it would after a normal reboot.

Accelerating smartphone charging

Airplane mode turns off all wireless signals on your smartphone, including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and cellular. This allows you to reduce the power consumption of the device, thereby speeding up the charging time. It is estimated that using airplane mode can reduce charging time by 20-30 minutes.

How to enable and disable airplane mode on your phone

Enabling and disabling airplane mode on your phone depends on the model and operating system, but in general, for most devices, this can be done as follows:

Open "Settings" on your phone.

Find the "Network and Internet" or "Wireless Networks" section.

Tap on the "Airplane Mode" or "Airplane Mode" option.

Enable or disable Airplane Mode by moving the corresponding switch to the desired position.

If you have an iPhone, you can enable and disable Airplane Mode as follows:

Open Manage Notification Center by swiping down from the top of the screen.

Click on the airplane icon to turn on airplane mode.

To turn off airplane mode, click on the airplane icon again.
